This hotel has a fantastic location. Restaurants abound, La Plancha Park is at the end of the Gastronomic Street, Paseo Montejo is a block away with mansions, museums, restaurants, shop, and pedestrian Sundays. The staff is bilingual and couldn’t be nicer. The pool area is an oasis. I especially enjoyed it at sunset.

The staff is amazing…all local Mayans from Tekit. The pool, grounds, architecture and design, lighting and jungle-manicured landscaping was carefully designed by professionals. They have cenotes and ancient caves on their vast property…so lots to explore. Their food was outstanding as well. I would say the only downside for us was they were reroofing the area above the restaurant above the pool area and the smell was so overwhelming, we could not enjoy the pool at all.

When we arrived at San Antonio Millet, we were amazed by the impressive sights of the hacienda (and the fact that we were the only guests for the entire time of our visit). The photos on the site do not do justice to the beauty of the property. The hacienda has been perfectly restored to the period making a stay there almost like a travel back in time. The personnel is composed of people who are locals of the small village around the hacienda, and who have been working there for years. It felt like we had come to family, as they treated us as such. We had long conversations with Angel and Jesús, the ladies who took care of our breakfasts and keeping our room were lovely to us. We had incredible breakfasts that changed every day and were prepared with skills and care. We enjoyed the gardens, the pools and the property with its incredible surroundings. There are bikes available, TV's in the living areas, a huge recreation room, all surrounded by the sounds of the rain forest. The bathroom adjacent to our room is indescribable, with Ferregamo amennities and plenty of fresh towels every day. Every need (such as insect-spray) is anticipated. I recommend this hacienda amply and consider this place and its keepers as responsible for one of the most remarkable experiences I have had in over 30 years of travels around the world. Thank you! The room was very nice and beautifully appointed. Hotel was in a neighborhood with no stores or restaurants nearby.

This boutique hotel is just STUNNING…like right out of the pages of a Decorator magazine! In fact, I believe the owner is an interior decorator or possibly an architect. There are only five rooms in this cute hotel, and the decor is nothing short of gorgeous.!!! the staff was very helpful and spoke excellent English. From reading the description and the reviews I thought we would be closer to a Central Street that had lots of restaurants on it, but I think this hotel is still a little bit further out from being that scene. The walk to the main church and the Central Square was probably only 15 minutes away, so really wasn’t that bad. Their sister Hotel was where the breakfast was in the morning and it was a 5 Star dining experience all the way… Probably the best omelette I’ve ever had! The pool is a beautiful thing to look at, but kind of on the cold side so I didn’t get in. If I return to Merida, I would definitely stay here again.
